Record Wisconsin Home Sales Through October

According to Wisconsin REALTORS® Association (WRA), Wisconsin sold 63,398 homes in the first nine months of 2017, slightly beating the record pace established in the third quarter last year, according to the most recent analysis of the existing housing market.  “Strong demand and tight supply continues to put upward pressure on home prices,” said WRA President and CEO Michael Theo.  With very tight home inventories, Theo is more optimistic looking further into the future as baby boomers retire at a national pace of approximately 10,000 per day, according to recent estimates.

Sales estimates for Wisconsin provided by the National Association of REALTORS® shows the median home prices continue to be on the rise.  Since 2015, the median home price has increased from $155,000 (2015), to $164,900 (2016), to $174,900 in 2017.  Follow Harris Realty Group’s Blog to stay up to date on Wisconsin Real Estate!
